As a Senior Environmental Engineer – Water Quality Modeler , you will support the planning, design, and implementation of water quality infrastructure and natural systems projects. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess contaminant fate and transport, design treatment wetlands and remediation systems, and model environmental impacts under changing climate and regulatory conditions.
You’ll work on a wide range of projects including:
- Watershed and regional-scale water quality assessments
- Nutrient and contaminant modeling in lakes and reservoirs
- Constructed wetlands and nature-based treatment systems
- Regulatory compliance and permitting support
- Mining remediation
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical analysis of water quality data, modeling, and contaminant transport
- Develop and review technical memos, reports, and specifications
- Design and oversee implementation of treatment systems (e.g., wetlands, filtration, aeration)
- Support environmental permitting and regulatory compliance (e.g., WQ standards, ESA, WSA)
- Collaborate with civil, hydrogeological, ecological, and regulatory teams on integrated water infrastructure projects
- Mentor junior engineers and support team growth and development
