Job Description

  • As a railway Engineer, you will be involved in the various stages of designing, managing and implementing projects for our customers, such as CN, CP, Rio Tinto, Transport Canada and EXO.We offer a flexible hybrid work arrangement, allowing you to work from home and from one of our offices in the metropolitan area.Primary Responsibilities
    • Plan and carry out various studies, including technical and feasibility studies, etc.
    • Coordinate the implementation and follow-up of projects, as well as between the various departments involved
    • Research, analyze, devise and recommend various technical solutions
    • Establish, modify, implement and contribute to work methods, procedures, standards, rules and design criteria
    • Prepare plans and specifications, draft reports and validate cost estimates
    • Participate in preparing submission documents within the required deadlines, and take part in technical or coordination meetings with clients, internal and external stakeholders
    • Supervise work performed by contractors, monitor progress against plans and specifications, coordinate and follow-up (shop drawing, change notices, etc.)

     

  • Profile
    • University degree in civil engineering or equivalent
    • Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
    • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in road or railway engineering as a CEP or engineer
    • Experience in civil engineering in the municipal, geotechnical or hydraulic field (an asset)
    • Familiarity with software such as Civil 3D or OpenRoad/OpenRail (an asset)
    • Knowledge of railway standards
    • Fluency in spoken and written French
